I thought I'd download this microsoft visual c++ express edition 2008
does it matter about the operating system it runs on.

for example i run a vista premium 64bit do i support it every time i enter code it says error i mean im no expert in c++ far from it I follow an online guide to learn who are university grads but eve though I check it and the spaces it says error is it something to do with my computer. I even tried copying and pasting some code but still fails any ideas wiered questionn i know but can any1 help.
