Raid 0 Volume error

I'm getting an error indicated as Raid 0 Volume. Can anyone advise what this is exactly?

Is there a solution? Do I need a new Hard Disk or something?

Any help would be much appreciated.

ok first off mate, we need more info, when had this happend ?? Have u been running the sytem for sometime then this has just happend or have u tryed setting your machine up as a raid???

If you can most abit more info i'll help u out.Just so u know what raid 0 is if ur setting it up it anit great if u love ur data.

RAID 0 (striped disks) distributes data across several disks in a way which gives improved speed and full capacity, but all data on all disks will be lost if any one disk fails

It occured when I started up the machine one morning. I've not beeen altering anything or setting up anything new whatsoever. I only use the pc for playing games basically, nothing complex or involved at all. I've never touched any hardware on it at all.

I get the error message each time I reboot, but to date I've not noticed any data loss, but the error still flags up each time I reboot the machine.

Thanks for responding by the way!

edit - I've had the pc about a year or so without any issues. It's a Dell DXP061, Vista Home Premium with a 500gig Sata HD. A smaller 10gig backup HD as well.

Morning, well i would say then that ur system is not setup to be in raid form, so this should sort it out for u.First thing you need to go into your bois and under intergrated, look for onboard serial ata/ide controler.Makesure that is set to either sata or ide which ever you use, your might find that it is set to either raid/sata or raid/ide and thats whats causing your problems.

Hope this helps let me know if not.

Thank you
