Advent PC won't boot
I have a Advent PC which seems to have developed a major hard disc problem. When the PC is booted, the boot stops at the intel icon.
I have the Advent recovery disc and the PC is set to boot from CD ROM first. The PC will not boot from the disc, it just stops at the Intel icon every time. I have put a different hard drive in and tried the recovery disc on that and it worked fine and recoverd windowsXP. Obviously all the factory installed software (TV, DVD etc) is not there and I could do with not loosing this. I guess the recovery disc only holds the drivers for this software. Any advice appreciated. The Operating system will not start in Safe or any other mode. Advice appreciated, thanks
