system temperature help
Ive noticed my pc has been feeling kind of hot lately. i downloaded speed fan to check my system temperatures.
Im not computer savvy at all, i have no clue if this is good or not. are these temps normal? im especially concerned about that little flamey reading ive highlighted. lol i dont know what that is. ive got everything else accounted for. any help is much appreciated. ![]() heres a screenie of speedfan. http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/8763/templz0.jpg |

![]() If you think about it, "normal" temperatures would depend on the hardware that you have. Since you've decided not to supply any information on your computer hardware, it's impossible to tell whether these temperatures are normal or not. Because of the way SpeedFan works, it doesn't guess which temperature is for what device. Having 3 temperatures on the ISA bus is a bit unusual, so it's difficult to determine which is your CPU. It's most likely that the CPU temperature is attached to the Winbond chip, as opposed to the ACPI BIOS. Please read this post. |
