both pc's fail to start up at all!!

hi all. im in a bit of trouble........ i have 2 desktop pc's both running xp. a brand new machine (less than a week old) piled in not long after i stuck in radeon 256 graphics card, phillips sound card, ram and a cd burner, i also briefly fitted an old hard drive. it was running fine on the new stuff for 3/4 days until it cut out and now refuses to even send anything to the monitor at all. the pentiums fan makes the occasional whir, and things dont sound genurally normal. so then i started using my other machine to problem solve, but after fitting the new pc's hard drive and cables, my old machine developed exactly the same fault, even when fitted with its original kit!!! so now i have 2 knackered pc's both even refusing to send anything to the monitor!!! help please

Hi, Welcome to ItsAllPC

It sounds to me like you could be 'over-loading' your PSU?

If you take out the upgrades you put in will the system(s) start up?
