Re: remove

Hi,
To make it appear in the Add/remove list try the following.
Locate a file called sysocf.inf
It's most likely in the inf folder in your Windows or Winnt folder.
The inf folder is hidden so make sure your view options are set to see hidden folders
ie Tools>Folder Options>View and tick the box

Once that is located open it using notepad and look for references to MSN Explorer.
If you find it delete the word "HIDE" from the line/lines and save the file.
It should now appear in the Add/Remove area.
I've never tried this before so I'm unsure if it will work but it's woth a try!

Re: remove

For the record, methods of removing Microsoft software by way of direct INF manipulation (or invoking the Windows Installer directly) are not advisable.

Usually these programs are hidden because they also include dependencies, and can break or function limit other [microsoft] software. It's sad to think that MSN explorer has a dependency, but it's possible that to uninstall MSN explorer, you have to partially uninstall Internet Explorer, which would not be a great idea.

In general, Microsoft software can usually be installed "over the top" of other existing versions (due to clever/complicated install mechanisms), so it's fairly likely that installing the correct version of MSN Explorer will replace the existing version.
