computer turns off its self

My daughters PC, after starting, turns itself off after anything between 2 mins and 10 mins, I have checked that the fan is working on the processor and cleaned all the dust out,
could it be a virus thats doing it (ran virus check and deleted 135 of them, and did spywaer check) or something simple ??? any help would be appreciated thanks

Read this carefully, and answer any relevant questions. You've answered some, but not all.
