Minimum processor requirements

I was wondering whether anyone had any views.
I am looking to buy as cheap a pc as possible. However I want to use it to design my own website. Does anyone have any views on the minimum spec processor and RAM that I would need. Do I really need a Pentium or would a Celeron do?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello Clueless.

The power of the computer is important to the use of it if you are going to be building a website with huge graphics and sound files and you will make these files more CPU power and More Ram is needed if you are just going to make and average site few small graphics then a celeron will be enough try and get a 2.4 -2.8 but really try and get as much RAM as you can as this will compensate for the cpu and stop lagging and PC slowdown. Because you want it to design websites then RAM hard disk space and Monitor size are the most important specs for you.

You did not say how much you want to spend so let us know and we will throw in a few links to cheap pc's with the specs you need!

I recon that before you jump in celeron or pentium 4 you should also look at amd as the CPU's are cheaper and just as good let us know your maximum spend and we will direct you to a good buy Loz!
