Having problems with my dvd drives just now. I have 2, a DVD-ROM and a DVD-RW. The DVD-ROM doesn't get detected by the motherboard so that is a far as that goes. The other drive only sometimes gets detected and when I try to burn a DVD with it I get this error from Nero:



I have checked the cabling for both drives, they are both fine...anyone any ideas with this?

I'd guess try new data cables, try a different port (Like if they're on IDE1 try IDE2), try one at once.

Make sure jumpers are set correctly, thant kinda thing.

It does the same thing with the floppy drive, just now they are back but for how long? nobody knows lol
