HD sleeps
hi all,
i have 2 HD 1 the o/s (c) and one a backup (d) my question is drive d sleeps or turns off while not in use and when i want to access drive d it has to spin up before i can open any of my files eg video music, any help

Power Options
You probably have power options settings turning your hard drive off after a certain period of time. Open Power options in control panel on the first tab "power schemes" its says "turn off hard disks: ". If you have a time specified here change it to "Never". In the drop down list. Now try it
