Face USB Wont Work

Face USB wont work!

They have benn on the computer since I had it, I fresh installed win2k and they are still the same
the ones on the back of my computer work but not on the front!??

I will check the Add Remove hardware right now!

Sounds like a hardware problem Joe.

You'll have to have a look see if they are wired up.... Have they ever worked?

I have never tried them till i just got my ipod!

I checked inside and there are4 parts of it

grnd 1 and grnd 2
and to others


they are plugged into a USB 4.5 or something like that. the spot looks like

....
...

there are two bigger plugs that take up three dots and 2 that 1

sorry if i dont make sense

I removed them from hardware the reinstalled them and they are called usb 2.0 but I plugged my ipod into them and it got so hot my ipod wouldnt come on till i plugged it into my other usb.

When my Ipod was plugged into the 2.0 safely remove hardware had a wierd picture in it!

I think my USB 2.0 isnt plugged in right!

Here is an easier brief of all i need help with

I noticed that my face Usb wasnt working so i took a look inside and uplugged them thenn plugged them back in.

it was the same as before but I uninstalled them then reinstalled and there they are I plugged my ipod into them and it got so hot it wouldnt turn back on till ilet it cool off and plugged it into the back usb

also there was a wierd lookin thing in safley remove hardware i removed my ipod using it which is pry why it is so hot!

SO what i wanna know is where the wires should be plugged in?

I think he wired his USB wrong, probably switched the GND and VCC

Otherwise known as the USB killer
