Maxtor Hard Drive

Hi Guys,

I recently bought a Maxtor external harddrive. It was working fine for about a month and was backing up things fine. However now when i save something to the external harddrive it overwrites everything in the external hardrive. Any ideas what im doing wrong? Maxtor OneTouch II USB2.0/Firewire 300GB 16MB 7200RPM is the hardrive im using. Any help is much appreciated.
