Please help guys!!

Hi All!! I am really frustated with my pc. I dont know from where this virus has come into it and it has broken down my pc like hell..It always hangs up and all the time some or the othere window pops up..I am left with no choice but to get it formatted. Now when i am gonna install all afresh, I wanna know which antivirus should i use which prevents me from this situation ever again..I have thought of buying this Nortan internet security 2008.. What do you say guys?? I am getting it for £25 @ eCost Software and PC World UK Computer Superstore - Buy cheap computers, laptops, desktop PCs, printers, LCD TVs, sat nav, digital cameras and more.. has it for £40. I am wondering why is there such a big difference of price between the two? Also please suggest me a software if I can in anyway recover what I have lost..Does anybody has any idea? Hoping for your suggestions..Thanks in advance..

Not sure what you are able to do with your machine. There are loads of ways to recover data as long as your machine isnt too far gone. Let me know what you can and cannot do.

RE the AV software, I would just go for a free one like Avast! or AVG. The price difference is simply down to the overheads that PC World and all hell holes like it have hence their prices are higher than most other places.
