Sophos Antivirus enterprise edition

just a quick query. Has anybody experienced sophos antivirus apparently removing itself from the server despite still having registry entries for it. I have been suspended from the school where i work because the headteacher and an independent computer consultancy company have alleged that i have removed the antivirus software. I am just looking for anyone that has experienced a similar event who is willing to give a statement to support my innocence.

Well...you can try the system restore actually, to retrieve the AV back. I don't think a program can be uninstalled itself. Maybe there is somebody did so and want you to hang up this responsibility.

Re: Sophos Antivirus enterprise edition

If the network is insecure and the virus scanner not updated regularly, it could have been attacked by a virus.

I wish I could say that computer consultancy companies have any level of expertise, but in my experience, sadly they do not. Many people get a small idea and think they suddenly know enough to dish out advice.

I'm afraid your fate is in the hands of these ignoramus, and there's not a damned thing you can do about it.

Re: Sophos Antivirus enterprise edition

Claim a virus uninstalled the Anti-viru. That IS your only hope

Does the school have proof you uninstalled the anti-virus? What is your motive?ÂÂ! ???

+ Why did the school pick out you instead of another admin/Technician?
