I have Lucky Star 6VA693AM motherboard and celeron 600 MHz, and I would like to upgrade with celeron 1300 MHz. What you think, is this good or bad idea? Thanx!

To be perfectly honest, I'd trash the whole "upgrade" idea and just buy all new parts if this is your primary computer. If it is not, then it wouldn't hurt to upgrade. You may see quite a performance boost. Although this does depend on the other components. If the motherboard permits, I would actually go towards a pentium PIII at a similar clockspeed.

Sorry for just a short post but it may help if you include the other specs of the computer. Then I can make a more accurate judgement.

If you're looking for a cheap solution then Schmidget makes a good suggestion.
As far as I know that board will support a Pentium 3.
