I'm fixing an E-machines 410- the power supply had gone so I've replaced that, but there seems to be quite a big problem...
Now that the power supply is working (powers up another computer fine), as soon as I plug the power cable into the back of the computer, the processor fan starts spinning and the power light and hard drive light come on. I thought it could be something to do with the power switch on the case, but when I wired in a different one it made no difference.
Pushing the power button makes no difference- the computer never powers up, apart from making the fan spin and lights come on!
I'm pretty sure this must be a motherboard problem. I've unplugged everything else from it apart from the processor just to make sure, and I still seem to have the same problem.
It seems highly likely that this is to do with the motherboard, but is there any way for me to tell if it could be the processor? Is it likely the my processor has gone too?
The system specs are here:

(TriGem IM845G (Imperial - G) Rev. G mobo, 2.4Ghz Celeron).
I'd be grateful for any bright ideas!
Cheers,
