Exclamation Arctic cooler freezer 7 pro

I've recently purchased a Arctic Cooling AC-FRZ07P freezer 7 pro socket 775 for my gaming machine, btw I am using an intel core 2 duo e8400. I installed it fine, everything spun ect ect.. but when I checked the cooling difference it had only gone down from 54c to 44C, and I read the reviews on ebuyer(Place of purchase) and I was disappointed with the results, because most people said that there temp dropped dramatically, but mine hasn't. Any idea's over why my temp isn't any lower?

BTW I havent overclocked atall

well it could be do do with your cable management. Make sure the areas within about 5cm all around the cooler is clear and make sure the cooler is pushing the air out through the back fan of the case
