will it fit

hi all i have a antec 900 case and a striker extreme mobo with a Q6600 cpu what i want to know is will the Silent Knight II cooler fit ok without any probs. thanks for your time Asus Silent Knight II CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940/AM2/LGA775))

It should fit, the heatsink is designed for several different sockets including 775 which is the socket you will be using.

You may find it a little tight trying to get ur finger on the catches when fitting it because of the motherboard's heatpipes, but it shouldn't really be a problem.

By the looks of it it is pretty much the same design as the Zalman coolers.

thanks m8 i have got the cooler now and yes your right it is a bit tight lol they could have made the palte a bit bigger just to clear the heat pipes but it just about does it so the next step is to get my psu Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK some time in the week and to fire it up and see how it go's lol its only my 2nd build the first was a amd and im going sata this time instead of ide and thanks for your help m8
