L2 Advanced transfer cache 1024kb
EXT clock 100mhz

Phoenix Technologies bios, V1.09

All I can find out about the motherboard is:
Morar
LXA740522154405DAEKS00

512MB DDR2 RAM

Would want to overclock to 1.8 or 2GHz, ish... Would I notice a difference? Is it a big risk? Would it void a 12 month warranty? Do you need more info to show me how to do this?

Overclocking options have to be supported by the system BIOS, which notebooks rarely ever have.

How do I find if it is supported, or am I just wasting my time?

Wasting your time. Most notebooks have very well balanced power and thermal characteristics; overclocking even if possible could easily cause damage to a number of subsystems.

Speaking of overclocking, my Pentium M desktop is finally starting to die after sustaining a 25% core overclock and 73% FSB overclock for about a year (from 133x15=2.0 GHz to 230x11=2.53 GHz). The main cause of this I'd wager was running the CPU at 0.12V over-spec (1.356V to 1.475V).

What's your replacement gonna look like?

i didnt know it was even posiable, on low end machines, oh well, i learn a new thing everyday
