Hi there,

I recently removed by old HDD and replaced it with a Samsung MP0402H HDD and am facing what is probably a very simple issue.

I am trying to reinstall Windows 2000 on the new HDD, but it isn't seen. Therefore, i assume i need to reinstall the drivers for the HDD. I downloaded the drivers util from the following page, but have no clue how to get them installed so the unit recognises that the new HDD is installed and will continue with the re-installation of Windows 2k.

It is made worse by the fact this isnt a simple home laptop, it is a special touchscreen system with laptop parts. Do i cant simply ask Dell for more info!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

:edit: I've noticed that the new HDD isn't being detected automatically, this could be why i'm having issues...
