I dont think it's anything to do with inside my laptop, as my cousin was using his memory stick in there the other day but his was an SD card, whereas mine is a Sony M2 and mines much longer than his. His was working fine and he was transferring stuff and everything smoothly. So I don't really want to take the risk of taking apart my laptop, I'd rather just use USB wire to my phone but really dont want to resort to that!

Oh and btw, a couple of hours ago I reformatted my memory card and took the password off it and it worked fine apart from 'my computer' kept not responding when trying to access the card, but worked with several attemps untill I shut down my laptop and when I booted it up again it was doing same old thing.
