i have tried installing realtek AC'97 audio drivers and that didnt work, i went on acer website and got the exact software for this board, still nothing, i read that maybe it is a registry error and i have used a couple of free registry cleaners and fixers, still nothing,

sound is not muted anywhere all connections are fine the speakers are fine, (they are my stereo speaker nice big ones!!) they work fine on old board and anything else, if im trying to play music it shows it as playing but no sound comes out the port, i have tried using the head phone prt, still nothing.

this is very frustrating as i love listing to music and watching movies using my pc and i cant!!

any help i would be greatfull,

thank you!!
First-
The Ram shouldn't effect the sound card-if you have a problem with the ram check if your processor/s can handle that much ram-also check it is not to new or too old ram chip/s for your processors. Some procesors won't support the old ram chips.

If the sounds not working, check you have the right drivers installed properly and there are no conflicts with other drivers. Also check if you have not damaged the sound card or the connections to the output in any way (and of course that they are connected properly).

Hope this is helpfull.
