Hi

The most common reason for having an IP address of 0.0.0.0 is if their is an IP address conflict. i.e another computer has the same IP address as the one yours wants!

It sounds like possibly your wired PC has a fixed IP address of say 192.168.0.2

But the first IP address that your router wants to assign is 192.168.0.2. So it tries to assign this to your laptop, but it cant so it gives it 0.0.0.0.

The easiest way to check is to probably to go onto your wired computer and check how it gets its IP address.
