Hi all,

I've been building up a computer for my house as an alternative to my notebook...
here's what I've got...

I have2 different Pentium 4 CPUs, a 1.7ghz, and a 2.66ghz, and have tried both unsuccessfully
a 3000rpm fan,
both an ATA 40gig harddrive and a SATA 250 gig harddrive, both plugged in, have tried them independently as well.
a 500w PSU.
a single 1gig PC 3200 DDR 400 Mhz ram stick
(also a 256 graphics card, but i'm not using that yet.)

when i turn the computer on, it starts beeping; "a long tone, then - high, low, high, low, high, low" etc... and does not show anything on the monitor
the fan powers up, as does the harddrive, but thats it...

Do you have any idea what may be wrong with it?
