Thanks for your advice my friend, I was nearly going to format.

In the end someone helped me to fix it & my son will be very happy in the morning - he's only 9 & was getting pornography pop-ups! I hate the people who make these virus'.

It was Java that let the virus in, if you haven't done already, uninstall Java & install the latest version as there's a virus about which is manipulating a weakness in Java.

(my son plays on-line Java games)
