hi..

my sons computer seems to have a recurring fault..
my sister in law gave us the computer ,i wasnt working at the time,,,she had been told it needed a new motherboard..

we took it to the comoputer shop and they said the hd needed replacing..it woked ok for a while but suddenly you would start windows but it would not finally load up...this was with xp home..

i didnt have a disc for this so installed xp pro over the top..

since then it has worked ok fora few weeks...then just wont load except in safe despite 2/3 reinstalls...

any advice on how i can trouble shoot this please ?
