Fist lets try to fix the AVG problem..

First look in your Windows Add/Remove programs and verify that it doesn't show AVG installed. Note, you didn't tell us anything about you system, so if you are in a version of Windows that requires it, you must install or uninstall programs as a user with admin rights.

Next open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Program Files\Grisoft and look for AVG directories. Look through them for SETUP.EXE (your system shouldn't be set to hide extentions to find this). If found run the file and select uninstall.
