Since the USB device is intergrated into your motherboard, it's driver should have been installed when Windows XP was.

So provided the USB devicde is working correctly, then a fresh installation of Windows XP should cure the problem...

I had a look for the USB driver for your motherboard on the Intel website, but to no avail.
