Re: Which card would you choose?

Hello and welcome to ItsAllPC!

OK, I wouldn't choose any of those if I was on a $200-ish budget but I'll get to that later. But first, I noticed you included memory sizes of those cards. I want you to do a difficult thing. Dump your mind of anything to do with memory sizes of video cards. It makes me laugh when people assume that cards with more memory will go faster. While that's true in some circumstances, nomatter what card you buy in the $200 range probably wouldn't fully utilize that amount of memory and still be able to hold up a playable framerate. It's funny that they even throw on 512MB of memory on an X1300! So memory sizes will not matter (for now anyway). In other words, don't spend a bunch of extra money on 512MB when 256MB would do you just as good.

My suggestions are going to be cards that have between 128MB and 256MB of memory. 256MB is more than enough for WoW.

Oops, I feel like this is too familiar. I'd say that before I go ahead and post a bunch of information that has already been put out to the world, you should see the following threads. I believe these are very similar to what you are looking for:

You can call me lazy, I just don't want to post a bunch of paragraphs again, like that last one.

Also, to play WoW, you won't need a $200 card. A 9800 pro ($120) would play that just fine.
