okay. a few things. i'm not sure if this motherboard is ac'97 based. the chipset is an intel 865G, and the onboard sound driver is SoundMAX. also, i cannot uninstall all of the drivers from add/remove programs, because they're simply not all there. i think i could, however, uninstall them through device manager. i also wanted to know if i absolutely need to uninstall ALL of the drivers. thanks.
